It’s been awhile since I posted on my blog and there have been so many cool changes in our life. With tomorrow being my third Bloomsday, I decided it was time to post an update. Bloomsday, for those of you who don’t know, is a really neat event that happens in Spokane, Washington, near where I live. It’s a massive 12 K walk\/run, and by massive, I mean the amount of participants. The numbers, are usually somewhere in the 40,000’s, and that’s a pretty large event for our area. I was fairly young the first time I participated in this event. I believe I did it as a 10 and 11 year old. After that I became too large to really take part in it. When I began to lose weight back in 2004, it was something that I hoped to one day do again. It really is a tradition for many people in our area. In 2013 after some starts and stops I finally had lost enough weight to comfortably and safely participate in this wonderful event. Tomorrow I will hit those city streets for the 3rd time in 3 years. Only this time I have been training for my first sprint Triathlon and am feeling fit and happy. I am truly enjoying the journey and am looking forward to sharing another Bloomsday with my husband and daughter. Go team Duncan.<\/p>\n
